Who can use the Geneus Pet DNA test?

Our DNA service is suitable for all dogs. Purebreds, mixed-breed dogs, and dogs of any age can use the Geneus Dog DNA test. A dog's core DNA remains the same throughout their entire life.

How does the Geneus Pet service work?

The process is simple:

Collect Sample: You use the included sterile swab to collect a saliva and cheek cell sample from your dog.
Mail to Lab: Place the sample in the prepaid mailer and send it back to us.
DNA Analysis: Our lab analyzes your dog's DNA at hundreds of thousands of key genetic markers.
Receive Report: Our advanced algorithm translates this complex data into a clear, personalized report covering your dog's breed mix, genetic health risks, allergy risks, unique traits, and more.

How and when will I get my dog's results?

You will receive your results approximately 2-3 weeks after our lab receives your dog's sample. We will notify you and deliver the report via the Geneus DNA app (available on iOS and Android).
