How does the Geneus DNA service work?

After you provide a saliva sample, we analyze over 1 million specific locations in your DNA that are known to vary between individuals. Using our advanced algorithm and machine learning, we turn these results into personalized genetic reports covering everything from traits to genetic health risks and ancestry composition.

How do I get my Geneus DNA reports and how long does it take?

To get your Geneus DNA reports, download the Geneus DNA app, available on both iOS and Android. Register your account through the app, provide a saliva sample using the kit provided, and send it back to us. Sample processing takes approximately 2 weeks from the time your sample is received at our lab. Your results will then be delivered to your secure online account.

Why do you need saliva samples?

Saliva samples are the best way for us to obtain sufficient quantities of DNA for our analysis. Saliva contains white blood cells that hold DNA. Compared to hair and blood samples, saliva offers a convenient and non-invasive method for DNA sample collection.

How do I upgrade my profile?

If you purchased the Geneus DNA Standard membership, you can upgrade to Premium membership to access up to 250 additional insights, including wellness, health, cancer predispositions, haplogroups, and more.
